BEHIND THE SHOT
This was maybe the third concert that I ever photographed and my first time to see The Who. I had heard what it was like to be in the front at The Who concerts, but I wasn't really prepared for actually going through the experience!?! It was a CRAZY rough crowd to battle through, and I was very-much still developing my skills, but the show was incredible, with Pete smashing his guitar to bits right in front of me (after I'd run out of film...) There were certainly times where I had to hold off on photos because I didn't want to get trampled or smashed. When I finally got up close in front of the first row, I had to keep my elbows down below my armpits or I would not have been able to get them back down again, and using my elbows was essential to help me keep just enough space to breath...
This is Pete in the midst of his signature leap as Keith is going wild on the drums - John didn't really move around too much...
