BEHIND THE SHOT
Going from the wild and crazy SoCal concert scene to the rural Utah college concert scene was quite a transition, however, I ended up using ALL my “shoot-while-fighting-through-a-rough-crowd” skills because the college varsity rugby team had bought out the first four rows at this show - and they were ALL totally plastered!! Waylon was great though and fortunately I was a bit of an Allblacks fan and knew my way around a “scrum.” So I did a little “haka” to psych myself up and once again managed to get through unscathed, but, it was a LOT more work than I thought I’d have shooting a show in the middle of nowhere.
I ended up close enough to get right below Waylan...and this was my view...
