BEHIND THE SHOT
This photo was taken just as Karen had finished an AMAZING drum solo with Richard looking on.
This night happened to be Richard's Birthday. Karen led the audience in singing "Happy Birthday" as she presented him with a cake.
The Carpenters' show kind of came off kinda like a TV variety show from that era including a few 'skits'. Steve Martin opened for The Carpenters this night.
...and Karen's voice was UNBELIEVABLE!!
