BEHIND THE SHOT
I was a little late to this show, which made it much harder to get up close, but I eventually managed to work my way down to the front. It was much harder to do that at a “mellow” show like Dylan because there just wasn’t as much standing and moving around in the audience which made me stand out more as I was moving from empty seat to empty seat, but it was so worth it to see Dylan live. He performed a great set including many of my favorite Dylan songs. Robbie Robertson and 'The Band' opened first with a set of their own, then they came back as Bob's back-up band - and they were great!!
In addition to trying to get the great 'action' shots, I also tried to get shots that were more candid, usually between songs. This is a shot of Dylan in between songs, checking in with Robbie Robertson, who was at the mic to his left. I really like this 'none-stage' expression, it kinda lets me see more of him...
